What makes food and drink accounts different
People decide where to eat in minutes, usually on a phone, often while already out. That changes what a restaurant account has to do. It is less about follower counts and more about answering three questions fast: does the food look worth it, is it open now, and how do I get a table?
Restaurant and cafe content also ages quickly. A seasonal dish, a weekend special or a live-music night is relevant for days, not months. So the plan below leans on short video that shows real plates, real service and real people, posted on a steady rhythm around your trading week: teasers before the busy nights, proof of the atmosphere during them, and gentle reminders on the slow afternoons you want to fill.
Because we work remotely, footage from your kitchen and dining room comes from your team. Photos and video from your premises come from your team or a local photographer (useful clips include a 10-second pour, the pass during service or a close-up of a new special); we edit, write and schedule. Phone footage is fine; good light near a window matters more than the camera.
Content ideas for each platform
- Plate-to-table Reels: the dish leaving the pass and landing in front of a guest, under 15 seconds, with the dish name and price on screen.
- "Order this if…" carousels: match dishes to moods (first date, hangover brunch, team lunch) so people can save the post for later.
- Stories with a reason to act today: "6 tables left for Friday", a sold-out sign, the soup of the day, with a reservation link sticker.
- Pinned posts: menu highlights, opening hours and how to book, so a first-time visitor finds answers without scrolling.
- Events: quiz nights, tasting menus, festive set menus and private-hire packages, each as a Facebook Event people can mark as interested.
- Community posts: local suppliers, staff anniversaries, charity nights. These get shared in neighbourhood groups more readily than promotional posts.
- Clear practical updates: holiday hours, closures, new delivery partners. Older regulars often check Facebook first.
YouTube
- Shorts from the same footage: chef technique clips (knife work, latte art, wood-fired oven) re-cut vertically for search-driven discovery.
- Community posts: polls on the next special, or "which dessert should stay on the menu?"
LinkedIn (only if it fits)
- Useful for catering, corporate lunches and private dining: menus for office events, capacity, lead times and a contact route for event managers.

KPIs that matter for a restaurant
- Reservation and order clicks: taps on the booking link or ordering link, tracked with UTM tags so you can see them in your booking or analytics tool.
- Profile actions: calls, direction requests and website taps, shown in Instagram and Facebook insights.
- Saves and shares per post: a stronger sign of "I want to go there" than likes.
- Local reach: the share of your audience in your city or delivery radius (insights show top cities).
- Message response time: booking questions arrive by DM; slow replies lose tables.
- Covers on promoted nights: compare nights you pushed on social with similar nights you did not.
We report these monthly and suggest one change for the next month based on what moved.
Compliance notes: reviews, influencer meals and claims
- Free meals for creators are a "material connection". In the US, the FTC expects that to be disclosed clearly in the post (Disclosures 101 for Social Media Influencers). In the UK, the ASA and CMA expect an upfront "Ad" label when content is paid for or gifted (Influencers' guide to making clear that ads are ads).
- No fake or bought reviews. The FTC's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials, in force since October 2024, bans fake reviews, reviews bought for positive sentiment and the suppression of negative reviews (The Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule: Questions and Answers). We never write reviews for clients and do not offer "review packages".
- Dietary and sourcing claims must be true. If a post says vegan, halal, gluten-free, organic or locally sourced, the kitchen needs to be able to back it up. We use the wording you confirm.
- Alcohol promotion is restricted by platform rules and local law, including age targeting for paid posts. Check Meta's Advertising Standards before boosting drinks content.

Which plan fits a restaurant or cafe?
Most single-site restaurants get the most from the Instagram + Facebook + YouTube bundle at $1,200 per month, because the same weekly footage feeds all three. A cafe with a small team and no events programme can start with Instagram alone with a $299 starter month, then a custom quote and add Facebook once events or catering become important. See every plan on the pricing page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you visit the restaurant to shoot content?
No. We are a remote team. Photos and video come from your staff or a local photographer; we edit, write captions and schedule. We can suggest the kinds of clips that work well.
Can you post daily specials at short notice?
Yes, if you send the photo or details early in your day. Same-day Stories are the right format for specials; we agree a cut-off time during onboarding based on your time zone.
Will you reply to reviews on Google?
Google Business Profile is outside our social media plans. We focus on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, including replies to comments and messages where agreed.
How do you handle a negative comment about food or service?
We follow a reply guide you approve: acknowledge, move the conversation to a private message, and escalate to you anything about allergies, illness or refunds rather than answering it ourselves.
Can you run influencer visits for us?
We can plan creator collaborations and brief creators on disclosure, but each creator must label the post clearly as an ad or gifted visit under FTC, ASA or local rules.
